Up until recently, surgical excision (and stitching) along with cryotherapy (freezing) were the only techniques available for removing localised skin lesions. These old fashioned techniques often leave scars worse than the lesions they remove and are now obselete in high end cosmetic surgical practices.

Technique
We use the latest radio-wave surgery, CO2 and erbium-glass laser ablation for removing localised, benign skin lesions (after clinically ruling out any risk of cancer).
We have successfully removed over 10,000 moles and skin tags in the past few years alone.
The lesion is first numbed and then painlessly shaved off within seconds.
The radio-wave device seals off the blood vessels as it shaves away the lesion so there is no bleeding and since the skin is not cut there is no suturing required.
When removing skin lesions with this technique, it is best to err on the side of caution by not remove too much tissue (which may result in scarring).
The only limitation of radio-surgery and erbium glass laser ablation techniques for any skin lesion removal is that the lesion must be above the skin level. These techniques will not work on a flat lesion, as that may potentially leave a depressed scar. For flat moles and freckles, the treatment of choice is the Q-switched Nd YAG Laser ( Tattoo Removal Laser) also available.
