I'm so happy with the results of my blepharoplasty. Now I look more awake and younger. My eyes don't look puffy anymore and that's awesome Dr. Patel.

My name is Kerry Cole. Three weeks ago (10-16-20), I had surgery to fix stark ptosis. Unbeknownst to me, over the years my peripheral vision had been severely impaired. I was directed to the Moran Eye Center where I met with Dr. Patel for consultation. During that conference Dr. Patel described the problems associated with ptosis, and how these obstructions could be corrected with surgery. He then took the time to explain different procedures that surgeons use to remove the excess skin during from around the eye. Dr. Patel said his new procedure follows the normal curves of the face and wrinkles on the forehead which makes the scar lines almost undetectable. I decided to go forward with the surgery. Immediately after the surgery I noticed a huge difference with my peripheral vision. It seemed to be restored to normal and I noticed that objects around were much brighter. It has been several weeks since the procedure and all the sutures are gone. The incision lines on my forehead are already almost non-existent. My wife and family say they can see a dramatic difference in my eyes and face in general. I want to thank Dr. Patel for taking the time to explain the difference in procedures and performing his procedure which I feel was best for me. The attached pictures were taken the day my sutures were removed.

Dr. Patel did a fabulous job on my Mohs closure. I had a small skin cancer on my bottom eye lid that the dermatologist removed leaving about 40% of my bottom eyelid missing. I feared I would end up with a distorted/misshapen eyelid and huge gap in bottom lashes. However, Dr. Patel was able to creatively borrow skin and lashes from the rest of my eye, leaving minimal scarring and unnoticeable gap in lashes. I am so grateful that he came so highly recommended to me and that I was able to get this procedure done by someone so capable and willing to try his best to get the most functional and best looking results for the patients. Dr. Patel was not concerned about getting this done fast, he was more worried about patient appearance and end results. You can barely see that I have had a procedure at all and I am only 2 months out. I foresee not being able to tell at all once healing is complete. Dr. Patel's office was also willing to schedule my after care appointments early in the morning, so I didn't have to miss work for the appointments. I had a great overall experience as Dr. Patel is a very confident, competent surgeon who is very good at his job and is a perfectionist at getting best results for his patients. Dr. Patel is a brilliant surgeon, an artistic prodigy, and a consummate gentleman. I have had two procedures from him and both had excellent results. I recommend him without reservation.

Dr. Patel was awesome! He removed a dermoid cyst from our one year old daughters eye. We were so nervous because she is so young but Dr. Patel quickly made us feel comfortable. He did an amazing job on the surgery and it is healing well. Definitely one of the kindest doctors we have ever met. Highly highly recommend!

Update: Dr. Patel reached out to me ASAP, to address the issue and has assured me that he will take care of me! He explained in detail the general circumstances surrounding my situation and will be easing my frustrations immediately. He explained just how much the eyelid can change in a matter of extended time, and it has been over 5 years... plus, things are more complicated in my case due to a prosthesis being involved. These are things that have to be taken into account when addressing the aesthetic concerns when doing these types of procedures, and unfortunately I was not fully aware of that. Dr. Patel clearly cares about his patients, as he was available to discuss and clarify all of this with me personally. The original review is below, and was left before I discussed these things with him, and it no longer applies! Original Review: An unfortunate experience, because I now have to redo the ptosis surgery that I had Dr. Patel initially do. I guess I should've trusted someone else in the first place, because my droopy eyelid is still droopy, but hopefully when I get it 'fixed' this time, everything works out for the better... His (as well as his team's) lack of clear instruction and attention did not make this a pleasant experience. They had a nonchalant attitude and hands off approach that left me with more questions than answers.
