LASER EYELID SKIN TIGHTENING
Lower eyelid skin is extremely delicate and thin and shows the signs of sun damage and ageing before any other facial area. At Patel Plastic Surgery, we specialise in treating the lower eyelid loose skin and bulging fat pads with judicious use of laser eyelid skin tightening.
Upper eyelid skin, which is also very thin, generally needs to be surgically tightened with a blepharoplasty. However, with early changes, the use of the fractionated CO2 laser gives a nice improvement as seen in the photos below. This is done in the clinic with local anesthetic injections. The lids do develop swelling and redness which settles over a couple of weeks and need to be treated with ice packs to reduce the swelling.
