THEY SAID IT COULN’T BE DONE I can’t reach those upper notes to sing high enough praises for Dr. Bhupendra Patel. He not only exceeded my expectations, he changed my life! I received a botched blepharoplasty, performed by a prominent Beverly Hills doctor years ago. I was left with eyes that could not close and were very uneven. Due to several eye surgeries, my right eye lid could barely open. The doctors felt it needed to stay that way to protect my cornea although I had very little eyesight in that eye. Fast forward several years: I had four severe falls with an 8 month period - all falls had been to my right side. The doctor decided it was in my best interest to have Dr. Patel raise that eyelid. He didn't promise a miracle, but he produced one!! Because of his expertise, the eyelid was raised to match the other one. The best part, however, is that because of the surgery, I am able to see more clearly on my right side and have not fallen at all. Dr. Patel is a Miracle Worker!

My name is Kerry Cole. Three weeks ago (10-16-20), I had surgery to fix stark ptosis. Unbeknownst to me, over the years my peripheral vision had been severely impaired. I was directed to the Moran Eye Center where I met with Dr. Patel for consultation. During that conference Dr. Patel described the problems associated with ptosis, and how these obstructions could be corrected with surgery. He then took the time to explain different procedures that surgeons use to remove the excess skin during from around the eye. Dr. Patel said his new procedure follows the normal curves of the face and wrinkles on the forehead which makes the scar lines almost undetectable. I decided to go forward with the surgery. Immediately after the surgery I noticed a huge difference with my peripheral vision. It seemed to be restored to normal and I noticed that objects around were much brighter. It has been several weeks since the procedure and all the sutures are gone. The incision lines on my forehead are already almost non-existent. My wife and family say they can see a dramatic difference in my eyes and face in general. I want to thank Dr. Patel for taking the time to explain the difference in procedures and performing his procedure which I feel was best for me. The attached pictures were taken the day my sutures were removed.

Dr. Patel is a brilliant surgeon, an artistic prodigy, and a consummate gentleman. I have had two procedures from him and both had excellent results. I recommend him without reservation.

Dr. Patel is a wonderful doctor/surgeon. I called his office asking to see if they could help with a problem I was suffering from for years. I spoke with the receptionist and explained my problem and what I thought needed to be done. I asked her if this is something that Dr. Patel could do. She took my message down and said that she would call me back within a few days to let me know. She did better than that. She called me back with in a few hours she told me that she spoke with the doctor and he said that yes it is something that he could do but he wanted me to see a neurosurgeon first because they would need to work together. I called the neurosurgeon Dr. Willam Couldwell. I first saw one of his colleagues Dr. Ansari and then I saw Couldwell himself. They booked the surgery I needed to have which was to build a mesh barrier behind my left eye and to move the left side of my brain back so that it would release the pressure it was causing and the multiple headaches I would get. Because of the pressure my left eye was looking down and about 30 degrees off from my right eye. I had this surgery almost 6 months ago. I’m amazed at the results. I only saw double vision for a few weeks and it went away just like the doctors told me it would. My headaches are now gone and my eyeball has moved up to normal position. I’ve received many comments from friends and family about how good it looks. I would highly recommend Dr. Patel and Couldwell as well as any of their colleagues. They are truly wonderful doctors who care about you not only as a patient but as a person.
